White Teeth

The other day my Rembrandt Whitening strips came in. I had bought a kit before and was extremely satisfied with the previous results. You might be thinking, "Okay, another vain metrosexual," and that's where you are wrong. In this post, we will examine the benefits of having whiter teeth.

1. Teeth are whiter and more pure? Now the first part of that statement is fairly obvious. You are paying for a product that should do what it claims to do. The second part can be explained by American culture. White seems to be a color of purity. Look at all those religious fanatics. Even KKK thinks white is a supreme color. So by having whiter teeth, you yourself are one step closer to purity in the eyes of these people.

2. Better first impressions If you want to be a social BUTTERFLY, having white teeth is the way to go. People will usually rate you as more likable and honest upon the first encounter if you have white teeth. This probably roots back to the social norms of American culture discussed in (1.) Of course your teeth must be accompanied by a genuine smile :)

3. An almost perfect smile A smile is basically made of teeth and lips. Having white teeth is 50% of the smile. The other 50% which you probably have guessed are the lips. Many people including myself, have suffered from broken smiles due to yellow teeth. We try to scrunge our lips in a way that make our teeth look white, or show little teeth at all. Having white teeth avoids this problem. With white teeth, any lip formation that resembles a smile, will be a smile. It must be that pure white magic.

4. Greater Self-Confidence As you become more and more comfortable with your smile, you are building confidence in yourself. When that white smile is beamed, it says," I have nothing to hide," to its viewers. And ultimately, you will begin to see yourself in a more positive way; all because YOU have a wonderful smile.

"Margey, let's put on our smiley face so the world can know what a good mother you have."
